Originally from Southampton, England, Leo King moved to Calgary, Canada at the age of 19. After completing four years of post-secondary education, he graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. Leo is a lifetime drug-free, natural bodybuilder and powerlifter.
As a child, Leo was small but athletic, participating in a wide range of competitive sports. To compete at higher levels, he recognized the need to build more muscle and strength. It was during his college years that he discovered a passion for training in the gym, steadily gaining strength and size. This led to a deeper curiosity about how the body responds to different training methods and nutritional approaches. Over the years, Leo has dedicated extensive time to research and study, distinguishing evidence-based practices from fitness myths—something he credits as a major factor in his success.
In the summer of 2011, Leo competed in his first bodybuilding show at the age of 21. Since then, he has participated in numerous competitions and earned professional status as a WNBF Natural Bodybuilder. At just 23, he competed on the world stage at the 2012 WNBF World Championships. Outside of bodybuilding, Leo also enjoys raw powerlifting, focusing on strength-based goals during his off-season.
In early 2013, Leo founded Kings Fitness with the mission of helping others pursue their health, strength, and physique goals. This vision expanded in 2015 with the opening of Kings Fitness Gym—a space built to foster a supportive community of individuals committed to becoming stronger, more athletic, and healthier. His goal has always been to share his knowledge and experience to positively impact the lives of those around him.
